What We Do

SmallBusinessInsurance.co.nz is operated by Evolve Group Limited (FSP711891), a licensed Financial Advice Provider. This site provides general information and comparison tools to help users find and compare business insurance options.

All enquiries through this site are received by Evolve Group Limited. The primary Evolve adviser (Nevil Chand, FSP501687) makes initial contact by email to gather any additional information needed. Personal-risk enquiries (life, key-person, trauma, income protection, medical) are then advised on directly by Evolve Group Limited. Business-insurance enquiries are referred to Blanket Advice Limited (FSP1004126), a separately licensed Financial Advice Provider, who provide the regulated financial advice for the business-insurance portion of your enquiry.

By using our service, you understand that insurance products are issued by the relevant insurance providers, that financial advice is provided by Evolve Group Limited or Blanket Advice Limited as set out above, and that neither party acts as the insurer.

• Personal risk insurance commission: 0% to 220% of the first year's premium (life, trauma, income protection)
• Servicing commission: 0% to 30% ongoing
• Evolve does not receive volume-based or sales target-based payments from insurance providers
• Evolve provides all recommendations in writing

Full commission details will be disclosed to you before you proceed with any insurance product. You are entitled to request further information about commissions at any time.

Use of the Service

Referral to Blanket Advice Limited and Other Brokers

Where your enquiry concerns business insurance, Evolve Group Limited will refer your details to Blanket Advice Limited (FSP1004126). In some cases your adviser may also refer you to another FSPR-registered commercial insurance broker where the cover required sits outside the panel of either Evolve Group Limited or Blanket Advice Limited. You consent to such referral by submitting an enquiry through this site. Any such referral will be disclosed to you, and you may decline to have your details passed on at any time.

Third-Party Provider Relationships

We work with licensed New Zealand insurance providers and financial service providers who are registered on the FSP Register and comply with relevant legislation including the Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010 and Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or suitability of any quote, product, or service provided by third parties. Any contractual relationship is solely between you and the relevant licensed provider.

We are not responsible for:

• The terms, conditions, pricing, or availability of insurance products
• The conduct, performance, or solvency of insurance providers
• Claims handling, disputes, or customer service issues with providers
• Changes to products or pricing after quotes are provided

Limitation of Liability
